LOUISVILLE - The University of Denver women's lacrosse team fell to Louisville by a count of 14-3 on Saturday afternoon at UofL Lacrosse Stadium.
Junior midfielder Casey White (Queensbury, N.Y.) scored two of Denver's (1-2) three goals, while goalie Maddy Stevenson (Bainbridge Island, Wash.) made eight saves in the defeat.
Freshman midfielder Julia Feiss (Baltimore, Md.) scored the other goal for Denver just under seven minutes into the game to tie the score at 1-1.
White's first of the day put the Pioneers (1-2) up 2-1 a little over eight minutes into the contest before Louisville took off on a 9-0 run, and overall a 13-1 run to close out the game.
Louisville's Kaylin Morissette and Hannah Koloski both had hat tricks to lead the Cardinals to 3-0 on the campaign.
UP NEXT: Denver will return to the east coast next weekend for a match-up with Brown on February 27 at 11 a.m. MT.
