DENVER - The University of Denver men's basketball team dropped its first home Summit League game of the season on Saturday, losing 82-63 to Fort Wayne in Magness Arena. The Mastodons had four players score in double figures in the win.

The Pioneers (6-10, 0-2 Summit League) were led by a team-high 18 points from Joe Rosga, who also pulled down six rebounds in 30 minutes of action.

Daniel Amigo (13) and Jake Pemberton (10) were the two other DU players to finish with double figures in scoring.

Summit League leading-scorer Bryson Scott had a game-high 20 for FW.

The Crimson and Gold's three 3s tied a season low.

Fort Wayne raced out to a 13-6 lead by the first media timeout. The hot start was a result of good looks on the offensive end for them.

But Rosga kept Denver in it after that, going on a scoring spree to keep it a two-possession game at 29-23 with seven minutes left in the opening half. The St. Paul, Minn. native had it going, knocking down shots from all three levels, giving him 11 of the Pioneers' first 23 points.

The Mastodons closed out the half strong, resulting in a 10-point lead at the break, 45-35.

Rosga's play kept DU close, pouring in 13 points in 14 minutes in the opening period.

Both teams closed out the half shooting over 50 percent from the field.

In second half, FW pulled away with a 12-5 run in the first four minutes, extending its lead to 17.

Denver never got any closer than 14 the rest of the way, never stringing together enough stops to generate some momentum.
