Pioneers Set to Host Second Annual Paintbrush Invitational

Two-day tournament to be held at Colorado Golf Club
DENVER – The University of Denver golf team is set to host the second annual Paintbrush Invitational on Monday. The 54-hole tournament will take place at the Colorado Golf Club in Parker, Colo.
Par for the 7,513-yard course is 72.
The field consists of 12 teams including The Pioneers, Oregon, Colorado State, Colorado, Washington State, George Washington, Loyola Marymount, Northern Colorado, UTEP, Wyoming, Pacific and South Dakota.
Head coach Erik Billinger is going with the lineup of Jun Ho Won, Esteban Missura, Carson Griggs, Cal McCoy and Jackson Solem.
Roy Kang, John Sand and Eric Hagen will compete, but as individuals.
Won is coming off a tying for 40th at the Tucker Invitational.
Griggs is back in the lineup after tying for 13th as an individual at the Tucker Invitational last week. The Oklahoma native is fired a career-low 70 in round two of the event.
Rounds one and two are set to begin at 8 a.m. MT with a shotgun start on Monday.
