No. 30 Julia O'Loughlin and Bianca Mok fell, 6-3, 3-6, 1-0 (10-7) to No. 1 Paige Hourigan and Kenya Jones of Georgia Tech in the 2018 NCAA Doubles Championship on Thursday in Winston Salem, N.C.
After dropping the first set, 6-3, O'Loughlin and Mok rallied to topple the top duo in college tennis, 6-3, before falling in the tiebreaker, 10-7.
This marked the second-consecutive year the Pioneers had a duo compete in the 2018 NCAA Doubles Championship. As a team, Denver advanced to the NCAA tournament for the fifth consecutive year. Individually, O'Loughlin competed in the 2018 NCAA Singles Championship and became the first Pioneer to advance to the Round of 32 since 2010.
