DENVER – The University of Denver men's soccer team moved up a spot to No. 5 this week in the United Soccer Coaches' Poll, the coaches' association announced on Tuesday. Denver also took a three-spot leap in the Soccer America Poll on Tuesday to put itself in the top-6 of all four major polls.

Co-captains
Andre Shinyashiki (Sao Paulo, Brazil) and
Scott DeVoss (Centennial, Colo.) were named Summit League Offensive and Defensive Players of the Week on Monday for their performances in Denver's 2-0-1 week that included results at [RV/-] SMU (1-0) and against [13/RV] Colgate (1-1).

The [5/4] Pioneers wrap-up their four-match homestand this weekend, welcoming Harvard (Sept. 14/7 p.m. MT) and San Francisco (Sept. 16/1 p.m.) to the Mile High City. Friday's match against Harvard is $1 Hot Dog Night, while Sunday's match will be broadcast live on Altitude and will be the program's Third Annual Bark in the Park Day.
