DENVER – The Pioneers (2-0) look to continue their two-game winning streak as they host Louisville (0-2) for the 2019 home opener on Saturday, Feb. 16 at 1 p.m. MT in Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
Denver is 3-3 all time against the Cardinals, having won the last two meetings. The last time the Pioneers hosted U of L was during the 2017 season where DU was victorious in triple overtime (11-10).
The Pioneers opened the 2019 season with two Pacific coast wins, taking down Stanford on Friday, Feb. 8 and Cal on Sunday, Feb. 10. After the weekend
Hannah Liddy leads the team with 11 points and is tied with
Bea Behrins with five goals each.
Carson Gregg has seen 120-minutes in goal and has totaled 12 saves for a .522 save percentage.
Louisville comes to the Mile High City with two loses under its belt, falling to Northwestern on Feb. 8 and Marquette on Feb. 10. The Cardinals totaled 17 points, 12 goals and 30 shots against Marquette, and Tessa Chad leads the team with six goals this season. Lexie Ball and Rachel Floreck have spilt time in the net for Louisville, coming up with a combined 16 saves in two games.
