DU Returns to Northwest for Duck Invitational

Pioneers look to build on runner-up finish with rounds 1 and 2 on Monday
DENVER – The University of Denver golf team looks to build on its strong outing from last time with a return trip to the Northwest for the Duck Invitational. The Emerald Valley Golf Club is where the tournament will be held, with rounds one and two starting on Monday.
Par for the 7,165-yard course is 72.
Oregon plays host for the two-day event, welcoming a field of 16 teams that include: Denver, Boise State, Hawaii, Long Beach State, Loyola Marymount, Nevada, Oral Roberts, Oregon State, Pacific, San Diego State, San Francisco, San Jose State, Seattle, Washington State and Wyoming.
Head coach Erik Billinger is going with the lineup of Esteban Missura, Cal McCoy, John Sand, Eric Hagen and Roy Kang.
The Pioneers are coming off their best finish of the year, taking runner-up honors at the Bandon Dunes Championship back on March 12.
Missura turned in his best performance of his collegiate career at that event, tying for third in the tournament with a 54-hole total of 216.
