Matt Summers of the Denver Pioneers men's tennis team are ranked the 42
nd best doubles tandem in the country on the Oracle ITA Division I Preseason Rankings released Wednesday.
Davis, a Barnstaple, England native, and Davis, a Maidstone, U.K. native, have assembled a 20-10 overall record having played every match together at #1 doubles since 2019. The tandem went 7-5 last season to rank as high as 21
st in the country on Feb. 5.
The abbreviated 2020 spring season saw Denver open the year on a nine-match winning streak and continue its success to finish with a 12-1 record and .923 winning percentage, its best mark in five years. The Pioneers are set to begin the 2021 spring season at the ITA Kick Off on Jan. 23 against TCU.
