Matt Summers of the Denver Pioneers men's tennis team has been named Summit League Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
The Maidstone, U.K. native received the team's second straight weekly honor for his role in Denver's wins at Utah and Utah State last weekend. Summers went 2-0 at #3 singles to mark five straight singles wins at that position and improve to 5-2 overall. In doubles play, he went 2-0 at #1 with partner
James Davis. The 42
nd ranked tandem in the country improved to 4-3 on the top court.
Denver is set to return to the court on Saturday, Feb. 27 at Air Force. First serve is set for 2 p.m. MT in Colorado Springs, Colo.
