DENVER – Junior
Taylor Melville of the Denver Pioneers women's tennis team has been named Summit League Player of the Week, the conference announced on Tuesday.
Melville went 2-0 in singles and 1-1 in doubles in Denver's wins against BYU and Colorado last weekend. The Duluth, Georgia native is 3-4 at #1 singles this season and 4-4 at doubles, going 3-4 at #1 with
Hada Chang and 1-0 at #3 with
Toni Nelson, her partner for the match against the Buffaloes on Sunday.
The Pioneers have won the three Summit League Players of the Week this season.
Anna Riedmiller and
Britt Pursell have also received the honor. Melville receives the honor for the fourth time in her career.
Denver is set to return to the court on Friday, Feb. 26 vs. Utah and Sunday, Feb. 28 vs. Colorado State. First serve is set for 5 p.m. MT on Friday and 12 p.m. MT on Sunday. Both matches will be played at the Denver Tennis Park.
