DENVER -The Denver Pioneers men's tennis team rose one spot to 33
rd in the latest Oracle ITA Division I rankings, the Crimson & Gold's highest mark since the team was ranked 25
th in 2010.
The Pioneers did not play last weekend, but will travel to New Mexico for a match on Friday, March 12 at 12 p.m. MT. Denver is 7-2 on a seven-game winning streak after falling to ranked competition in No. 6 TCU and No. 12 Wake Forest at the ITA Kick Off in late January.
James Davis leads the Pioneers with a 7-1 singles record and 5-0 mark at #2. Davis and partner
Matt Summers have a team-best 5-3 record at #1 doubles.
Denver was tabbed 35
th in the nation last February before the 2020 season came to an end in March. The Pioneers have eight matches left in the regular season, including their entire five-game conference slate.
