DENVER – University of Denver gymnast, senior Lynnzee Brown (Kansas City, Mo.) collected Big 12 Gymnast of the Week honors, the conference announced on Wednesday.
 
Brown led the conference in all-around scoring with her 39.650 performance at Oklahoma last week – more than two tenths higher than the next highest score by a Big 12 gymnast. Her score was also the third-highest in the country for Week 8.
 
The DU senior also added a near-perfect 9.975 on floor, which was the only such score in the Big 12 last week.
 
In total, Brown won three titles during the meet at Oklahoma, winning the all-around and floor titles outright and sharing the win on bars. All four of her scores contributed to DU's 196.875, which was the team's highest road score of the year and the team's second-highest score overall.
 
Brown now owns eight total weekly awards from the Big 12, which includes six Gymnast of the Week nods including for Week 5 this year. She was also named the Big 12 co-Newcomer of the Year in 2018.
 
The No. 13-ranked University of Denver gymnastics team, presented by Your Front Range Toyota Stores, hosts its final home meet of the season on Sunday, March 7, against No. 15 Southern Utah and No. 20 Utah State.
