KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The University of Denver women's soccer team placed three student-athletes on the 2020 United Soccer Coaches All-West Region First Team in
Taylor Parker,
Sami Feller and
Natalie Beckman.
Beckman was named the Summit League Offensive Player of the Year, finishing the regular season third in the country in points (32), 11
th in the country in goals (10) and second in assists (12). She ranked tops in the Summit League in the regular season in game-winning goals (4), shot accuracy (60%), assists, goals and points.
Feller was a Summit League First Team selection, finishing the regular season second in the Summit League in goals and points behind only Beckman, and ranked second in the conference in shot accuracy at 59.5%. Feller finished the campaign with 27 points in 21 matches on nine goals and nine assists.
Parker played nearly every minute of her 17 starts this season, captaining a backline that limited its opponents to just 46 shots on goal in the regular season (2.71 per game).
The trio led Denver to its first NCAA Tournament win since the Pioneers made a trip to the Round of 16 in 2012. The Pioneers defeated Loyola Chicago in the first round 3-1.
