RICHMOND, Va. – The University of Denver men's and women's swimming and diving programs both ranked fifth in the country in grade point average, posting GPAs of 3.68 and 3.8, respectively.
Denver joined Harvard, as the only programs to have both their men's and women's teams in the top five.
The Pioneers improved their academic national ranking five spots from January on the women's side, and 25 spots on the men's side.
Both programs were recognized by the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America on Tuesday, earning Scholar All-America status given to teams that combine for a 3.0 grade point average or higher.
