Pioneers Pick Up Multiple Wins on Senior Day at Colorado Sprint Championships

Women’s Swim teams shines in home meet on Senior Day

DENVER – The University of Denver Swim and Dive team closed out the Colorado Spring Championships home meet on Saturday at the El Pomar Natatorium. The Pioneers picked up a head-to-head win against Air Force on the women's side.

Leckie and Remington led the way for the Pioneers, each picking up three wins as an individual or part of a relay team. Opalka had it going on her senior day, winning the 3m (297.23 points) and 1m (296.33 points) dive competitions.

For the men, Hassan notched two victories in the 3m (362.48 points) and 1m (396.80 points) dive.

DU heads up to Colorado Springs for the Air Force Diving Invite beginning on Feb. 3.
