PREVIEW: Pioneers Host Hornets on Monday Night

Denver looks to continue best start since 2011-12 on Monday at home with 7 p.m. tip-off

DENVER  – The University of Denver Men's Basketball team looks to continue its strong start to the season with a home game on Monday night against Sacramento State. The Pioneers and Hornets will tip-off at 7 p.m. and can be watched on television on Altitude 2.


Last Time Out

• The Pioneers continued their best start since 2011-12 with a 90-68 win over Colorado College on Nov. 10 in Hamilton Gymnasium.

• Denver was led by Tyree Corbett's 19 points and 10 rebounds, his first double-double as a Pioneer.

• Touko Tainamo continued to show improvement from his freshman season, finishing with 7 points and 11 rebounds.

• Lukas Kisunas had a career-high 18 points in the victory.

• Freshman Justin Mullins recorded his first game in double figures, pouring in 10 points on an efficient 5-for-8 shooting from the field.

About Denver

• The Pioneers average 79.0 points per game this year, third in the Summit League.

• Denver is allowing 65.5 points per game this season, best in the Summit League.
