DENVER – The University of Denver gymnastics team is ranked No. 11 in the country in the Week 7 Road to Nationals rankings, which were released on Monday.
 
This is the first week that rankings are determined by National Qualifying Score (NQS). NQS is calculated with the six highest scores of the season, at least three of which must be from away meets. The highest of the six scores is dropped, and the remaining five scores are averaged.

DU's initial NQS of 196.640 already ranks in the top 10 all-time in program history, coming in eighth so far. The team's bars and beam NQSs also sit in the top 10 in DU history.
 
INDIVIDUAL NATIONAL RANKINGS
Graduate Student Emily Glynn
Bars: tie-No. 12 (9.885)
 
Sophomore Rylie Mundell
Bars: tie-No. 12 (9.885)
 
Both Glynn and Mundell return to the national rankings this week after scoring a 9.875 and a 9.900, respectively, at the Metroplex Challenge on Saturday. Glynn has been nationally ranked on bars in NQS rankings for at least one week in each of her five seasons at DU. Mundell also entered the NQS bars rankings in Week 8 on 2021.
 
Denver finishes up the month of February by hosting Air Force on Sunday, February 27, at 2 p.m. in Magness Arena.
