DENVER – The No. 9 University of Denver women's lacrosse program (12-1, 2-0 Big East) will make its first of two back-to-back cross country trips this weekend when the Pioneers take on Georgetown (7-6, 2-0) on Friday evening in a battle of the final two Big East unbeaten squads. Opening draw is set for 4 p.m. ET/2 p.m. MT.

Julia Gilbert bounced in a game-winner to send the Pioneers past UConn in a Big East top-20 clash at Peter Barton Stadium last Saturday.

D1 SERIES HISTORY VS. GEORGETOWN:
Denver is 5-5 all-time with Georgetown, but won both meetings in the 2021 regular season at Peter Barton Stadium by scores of 15-11 and 15-5. The Pioneers have won four of the last five overall and five of the last seven, but Denver is just 1-2 in the nation's capital against the Hoyas.
