TULSA, Oklahoma – University of Denver men's tennis player and senior
Nicolas Herrero Cuesta faced his second highly-ranked player in as many days on Day 2 of the 2023 ITA All-American Championships on Thursday.
Against No. 35-ranked Pablo Alemany from Memphis in a main-draw consolation match, Herrero Cuesta dropped the first set, 6-0, after facing multiple deuce points on his serve. He attempted a comeback midway through the second set, earning his first break of the day, but ultimately conceded the set, 6-2.
No. 111-ranked Herrero Cuesta will return home to Denver to help lead DU in its next fall tournament, the Denver Hidden Duals, set for October 27-29 at Denver Tennis Park.
