Denver Announces 2024 Men’s Lacrosse Schedule

The Pioneers will play seven home games in 2024, including non-conference clashes with Cornell and Yale at Peter Barton

DENVER – The University of Denver has finalized its 13-game 2024 schedule, William G. Tierney Head Men's Lacrosse Coach Matt Brown announced on Wednesday.

Season tickets for the 2024 Denver men's lacrosse season are on sale now, and can be purchased here.

A traditional January exhibition, Denver and Johns Hopkins have now moved their annual meeting a week back and will play it as the regular season opener on February 3 in Baltimore.

The Pioneers will make their Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium debut on February 10 when Denver hosts Air Force. Denver will also get visits from a pair of Ivy League schools in Cornell (Feb. 24) and Yale (March 10), sandwiched around a visit from LeMoyne (March 2) to Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.

Denver's three BIG EAST home games in 2023 will see St. John's (April 5), Georgetown (April 13) and Marquette (April 26) all visit the Mile High City.

While times have yet to be finalized, three Denver home games are tentatively slated to be night games in 2024 (LeMoyne, St. John's, Marquette). Game times will officially be announced in January.

In addition to the trip to Johns Hopkins in 2024, Denver will also visit Utah (February 17) and Ohio State (March 17) before playing Duke at Calvert Hall on March 23. Denver's BIG EAST away contests will see Denver travel to Villanova (March 30) and Providence (April 20).

Villanova will host the BIG EAST Men's Lacrosse Championship from May 2-4.
