DENVER – University of Denver men's lacrosse seniors JJ Sillstrop and Alec Stathakis have been named to the 2023 Tewaaraton Award Watch List, the foundation announced on Friday.
 
Sillstrop had three points in Denver's season opener on two goals and a helper. The Denver senior put up 48 points in 15 games last season, scoring 30 times for the Pioneers.
 
Stathakis finished 13-of-20 from the stripe against Utah last Saturday, picking up six ground balls on those wins. A season ago, Stathakis faced off at 56.4%, picking up 111 ground balls on 225 wins.

UP NEXT: Denver will continue its 2023 season on Saturday when the Pioneers make the short trip down I-25 to take on Air Force. Faceoff is set for 1 p.m. MT.
