DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team (18-4) is ranked No. 48 in the latest ITA Computerized Rankings sponsored by Tennis-Point, released on Thursday.
DU won its ninth-consecutive Summit League Championship on April 22, sweeping both Omaha and North Dakota, 4-0, in the semifinal and final, respectively. Denver received an automatic berth into the NCAA tournament with its Summit League title to extend its season for the ninth season in a row (excluding the 2020 season when the NCAA Championship was canceled due to the COVID-19 pandemic).

Taylor Melville is ranked No. 91 in the singles rankings. The 2023 Summit League Player of the Year also secured an individual berth into the NCAA tournament singles draw, set for May 22-27 in Orlando, Florida. Entering the NCAA team tournament, Melville holds a 30-4 record on the season including 16-3 in dual play.
Thursday's rankings are the final to be released before the start of the 2023 NCAA Division I Women's Tennis Championships, which begin on Friday, May 5. Denver will play No. 17-ranked Oklahoma State in the first round at 11 a.m. PT/12 p.m. MT.
