DENVER – University of Denver freshman and women's soccer player Liv Moritz was named the TicketSmarter Summit League Offensive Peak Performer of the Week for the fourth week of the season, the league announced on Monday.
 
The Vail, Colorado, native scored three goals – including both game winners – during Denver's shutout victories over Colgate and at Oregon last week. The freshman now owns a DU-leading five goals and 14 points on the season.
 
In Denver's 6-0 win against Colgate on September 7, Moritz opened the scoring in the 15^th minute for the only first-half goal of the match. At Oregon on September 10, she scored the only goals of the match, first in the 51^st minute and then again less than nine minutes later to secure the first brace of her career.
 
Moritz's eight shots at Oregon became a new season high by a DU student-athlete and contributed to Denver's 30 shots on the day, which tied the seventh-most in DU's Division I history.
 
This is the first Summit League award of Moritz's career and the first for Denver on the season.
 
Moritz will help lead Denver in its non-conference finale – and its second-consecutive match against a Pac-12 opponent – when DU (4-0-4, 0-0-0 Summit) hosts Colorado on Friday, September 15, at 7 p.m. MT.
