DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team put in a full day's worth of matches on the second day of the Colorado Cup at Denver Tennis Park on Saturday, collecting a total of eight matches.
DU again played across both the morning and afternoon sessions on Saturday, starting with matches against Penn and Wichita State in the morning. Freshman
Samuel Rovai won both of his matches, starting with a doubles victory with junior
Ryoma Mishiro. Freshman
Mark Neyelov and graduate student
Connor Robb-Wilcox gave Denver a second doubles win in the morning while senior
Rikuto Yamaguchi eased through a straight-sets singles win.

Theo Coats both dropped tight three-set battles in the morning but rebounded with wins over Air Force in the afternoon. Neyelov, too, bounced back from a loss in the morning to win his afternoon singles match in two sets.
Against AFA in the afternoon, Denver split doubles results with Mishiro/Rovai winning their second match of the day while Neyelov and senior
Relja Eskic teamed up for the first time but dropped their match.
Gonzaga also took to the court on Saturday, playing against Air Force in the afternoon.
Play concludes at the Colorado Cup on Sunday with Denver against Wichita State and Gonzaga versus Penn and Air Force at 9 a.m. MT before DU and AFA meet at 2 p.m. MT for the final matches of the weekend. All matches are held at Denver Tennis Park, and admission is free.
