DENVER – Two University of Denver women's soccer players landed on the 2024 United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's All-West Region Team, the association announced on Tuesday.
Seniors
Ella Frost and
Riley Baker landed first- and second-team honors, respectively.
Frost, the 2024 Summit League Midfielder of the Year, led the Pioneers in goals (7), points (16) and game winners (4) – all categories on the Summit League leaderboard that she finished near the top of. An All-Summit League First Team member, she started in all 19 of the team's matches, extending her streak of playing in every match of her four-year career.
Baker was named to the All-Summit League First Team for the first time in her career in 2024 after she scored two goals and totaled seven points on the season. Her three assists this year included the primary helpers on a game winner and an equalizer in Summit League matches. Like Frost, she started in every match for the Pioneers.
These are the first United Soccer Coaches All-Region Team honors for both Frost and Baker in their careers. They are the 10
th and 11
th Pioneers to earn All-Region team nods, and Frost is Denver's sixth first-team honoree and its first since
Sami Feller and
Devan McSwain in 2022. DU has now had multiple All-West Region award winners in seven consecutive seasons.
