DENVER - The No. 3/4 Denver Pioneers women's lacrosse team travels to Ann Arbor, Michigan this weekend for the first road game of the 2024 campaign.
Denver and the No. 10 University of Michigan faceoff on Saturday morning at 11 a.m. MT in Ann Arbor. The Pioneers are 3-1 against Michigan and have won the last three matchups against the Wolverines.
DU starts the season 1-0 after doubling Louisville, 16-8, to start the season last Friday on Peter Barton.Â

Lauren Black each picked up hat tricks against the Cardinals, while grad transfers
Olivia Penoyer and
Jane Earley each picked up their first two goals in the crimson and gold. Freshman
Olivia Ripple also earned two goals for the Pios, the first two of her career. Senior
Bryn McCaughey and Sophomore
Megan Klingenberg led the defensive effort for Denver, picking up a pair of ground balls and causing two turnovers each.
Michigan played Jacksonville and Cincinnati on the road to start the season to start its season 2-0. The Wolverines downed Jacksonville 19-1 on Saturday before earning a 14-4 win over the Bearcats in Cincinnati.Â
