DENVER – The University of Denver men's lacrosse program has moved up to seventh in both the USILA Coaches' Poll and the USA Lacrosse Magazine Poll on Monday.
 
Denver began the season 15^th in the coaches poll before knocking off [6/5] Johns Hopkins 13-12 in overtime last Saturday at Homewood Field.
 
Graduate student JJ Sillstrop scored the final four goals of the game and netted his first career sock trick in the victory to earn "The Lacrosse Network" National Player of the Week honors. The Pioneers outscored Hopkins 6-1 in the final 17 minutes of play.

Denver will open its 2024 home slate next Saturday when the Pioneers welcome the Air Force Falcons to Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium. Opening faceoff for Matt Brown's first home game as head coach is set for 12 p.m. MT.
