Denver Women’s Soccer Ranked No. 2 Nationally in Team GPA

DU finished 2023-24 academic year with cumulative team GPA of 3.81
DENVER – The University of Denver women's soccer team finished the 2023-24 academic year with the second-highest GPA in the nation, as announced by United Soccer Coaches on Thursday.
Denver ended the year with a team cumulative GPA of 3.81, putting the Pioneers in a three-way tie for the country's second-highest GPA and behind only New Mexico's 3.84.
It is the highest national GPA ranking in program history when including all three NCAA Divisions. Additionally, it is the second-highest academic ranking in DU history when including only NCAA Division I programs, behind only the 2020-21 academic year when Denver held the top DI GPA.
Denver has now ranked among the top five Division I programs in each of the last four seasons.
This is the 16th-consecutive year that Denver has received a United Soccer Coaches' Team Academic Award and the 17th time in the last 18 years.
Denver begins its 2024 campaign when it hosts North Carolina in the season opener on Thursday, August 15, at 7 p.m. MT at University of Denver Soccer Stadium. Fans can get their first look at the squad during DU's two preseason exhibition matches against Texas Tech and Air Force on Thursday, August 8, and Sunday, August 11, respectively.
