DENVER – University of Denver men's lacrosse redshirt senior
Joshua Carlson was selected No. 41 overall (3
rd round) in the 2024 National Lacrosse League Draft on Sunday night.
Following Sunday's selections, the Pioneers have had 36 student-athletes selected in the NLL Draft since 2001.
Carlson played in all 17 games of Denver's Championship Weekend run, starting 16 of them in Denver's offensive midfield. Carlson scored 18 goals and added nine assists for 27 points. The Centennial, Colorado, native scored the game-winning goal in Denver's regular season win over Georgetown on its way to the BIG EAST regular season title. Carlson also had a season-high three assists in Denver's NCAA First Round win over Michigan and a goal and a helper in Denver's NCAA Quarterfinal win over Syracuse.
The Arapahoe High School product played his box lacrosse in the Colorado Collegiate Box Lacrosse League in the summers.
