DENVER – The University of Denver women's soccer team will welcome three more student-athletes for the 2025 season, head coach
Julianne Sitch announced on Wednesday.
Riley Jeffries will join the team in the fall as a first-year student-athlete while rising-senior transfer
Brooke Ahern and rising-junior transfer
Alanna Raimondo have already enrolled on campus beginning with winter quarter 2025.
Riley Jeffries is a midfielder from Portland, Oregon. She has been a four-year varsity starter for Jesuit High School. Despite missing time as a sophomore due to an injury, she has been recognized as one of the top midfielders in the state of Oregon by Sports Illustrated. Since 2023, she has played for the Portland Thorns Academy's 06/07 team that advanced to the ECNL round of 16 in her first season.
Jeffries will be the eighth member of DU's
incoming 2025 freshman class, joining seven future student-athletes who signed to join the team in November 2024.
Brooke Ahern is a forward from Chelmsford, Massachusetts, who spent the last two seasons at the University of Arizona and began her collegiate career at the University of Utah. In her time at Arizona, she played in 10 matches in back-to-back years and made five starts this past season. In her lone season at Utah in 2022, she played in 18 matches and scored her first collegiate goal.
Alanna Raimondo is a midfielder from Vaughan, Ontario, Canada, and started her collegiate career at Kent State University. In her two years with the Golden Flashes, she played in a combined 39 matches and made 35 starts while netting five goals and adding four assists. She was named to the 2023 MAC All-Freshman Team and earned Academic All-MAC honors in 2024. In April 2024, she attended a U20 Canadian National Team camp and played in matches against the United States and Germany.
