Box Score COLUMBUS, Ohio - The [15] University of Denver women's lacrosse team fell to the Ohio State Buckeyes, 9-5, on Sunday afternoon in Columbus.

Olivia Ripple answered back off an assist by
Lauren Black to cut the deficit in half.
Lauren Black notched a goal of her own with 15 seconds left in the first quarter, but Denver ended the quarter down 3-2.
Caroline Colimore tied the game at three less than a minute into the second quarter, but the Pioneers were unable to overcome the Buckeyes. OSU scored three unanswered goals before Ripple capitalized on a free position opportunity, but the Pioneers took a 6-4 deficit into halftime.
Offensive woes continued for Denver, who were held scoreless until the five minute mark of the final frame. Colimore cashed in on a man-up opportunity, but the Pioneers fell to the Buckeyes, 9-5.
KEY PERFORMANCES:
- Ripple and Colimore each recorded a pair of goals and Colimore tacked on a pair of wins in the draw circle.
- Junior defender Carly Frohnapfel led the defense with a trio of caused turnovers while Junior defender Landry Grover recovered three ground balls.
- Redshirt freshman Alex Dorr earned five wins in the draw circle for Denver.
