DENVER – University of Denver women's tennis players
Andrea Burguete Beltran and
Marley Lambert are again ranked No. 53 nationally in doubles in the ITA Computerized Rankings, released by the ITA on Tuesday.
The DU senior and junior held the same spot in the most recent doubles rankings released two weeks ago and have appeared in the ITA doubles rankings each week that they have been issued during the spring dual season, peaking at No. 29 on February 20.
Since the last rankings were released on March 4, Burguete Beltran/Lambert added two more wins at No. 1 doubles for Denver. They first posted a third-straight 6-3 win – all in Summit League play – against St. Thomas on March 8 before adding a 6-2 victory at UTSA on March 16. Their win against UST clinched the doubles point while the win at UTSA was the first match to finish as Denver went on to again win the dual's first point.
So far in the 2025 dual season, Burguete Beltran/Lambert own an 10-4 record, all at the No. 1 spot for Denver. They have a road win over the then-No. 12 ranked team of Otway/Pascaul from TCU from the ITA Kickoff Weekend on January 25 and have won five of their last six matches. All four of the duo's losses in 2025 have come against teams that are currently ranked inside the current rankings including three in the top 25.
The ITA Division I Women's Collegiate Tennis Rankings recognize the top 75 teams (out of 311), 125 singles players and 80 doubles teams at the NCAA Division I level.
The University of Denver women's tennis team is on a bye week before playing three matches in four days on the East Coast, beginning at Columbia on Wednesday, March 26.
