DENVER – The No. 63-ranked University of Denver men's tennis team will play No. 10-ranked Arizona in the first round of the 2025 NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships, the NCAA announced on Monday.
Denver is the No. 4 seed in the Tucson Region and will take on Arizona, which is the No. 10 overall seed in the bracket. The teams' first-round match will be held on Friday, May 2, at 1 p.m. MST/2 p.m. MDT.
Additional details about the Tucson Region and first-round matches will be announced in the coming days.
DU earned an automatic berth into the NCAA tournament as the 2025 Summit League champion. Denver swept North Dakota, 4-0, in the league title match on April 19, to win its second Summit League tournament title in as many years.
This will be Denver's second consecutive NCAA tournament appearance and its 10
th overall. In 2024, DU took on No. 22-ranked Michigan State in the NCAA first round and fell, 0-4, in what was a more competitive match than the final scoreline suggested. DU's best NCAA tournament result is a second-round appearance in 2013.
