DENVER - The University of Denver women's lacrosse team will begin postseason play on Thursday May 1 when the top-seeded Pioneers take on the fourth-seeded Georgetown Hoyas for the first of two BIG EAST Semifinals at 11 a.m. MT/1 p.m. ET in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania.
Thursday's winners will take on the winner of second-seeded Villanova and third-seeded UConn on Saturday at 4 p.m. MT/6 p.m. ET.
Denver is in pursuit of its fifth consecutive Big East Tournament title, a streak dating back to 2021.
SERIES HISTORY: The Pioneers are 10-5 against Georgetown, including a 16-13 victory over the Hoyas at Peter Barton on March 29. This marks the first postseason meeting between the two teams since May 4, 2019 when the Hoyas defeated the Pioneers, 9-8, in double overtime to capture the BIG EAST tournament title.
