DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team is ranked No. 61 in the ITA Computerized Rankings leading into the start of the NCAA tournament, which were released on Tuesday.
DU's No. 61 ranking is its highest of the year so far and up two spots from the previous rankings released on April 22.
Denver is coming off a bye week following the Summit League tournament on April 18-19 where the Pioneers won their second consecutive league championship and booked an automatic berth into the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championship.

Daniel Sancho Arbizu continues his streak of appearing in the ITA singles rankings in every release this 2024-25 season, moving up four spots to No. 43 this week. During the Summit League tournament, he won his 30
th singles match of the academic year (30-5 overall), and he will enter the NCAA tournament on a 15-match win streak, during which he has not lost a set. In total, he only dropped seven games across both of his singles matches in the Summit League tournament.
The ITA Division I Men's Collegiate Tennis Rankings recognize the top 75 teams (out of 243), 125 singles players and 60 doubles teams at the NCAA Division I level.
The University of Denver men's tennis team will play No. 10-ranked Arizona in the first round of the NCAA Division I Men's Tennis Championships on Friday, May 2, at 1 p.m. MST/2 p.m. MDT. DU is the No. 4 seed in the Tucson Regional while Arizona is the region's No. 1 seed and the national No. 10 seed.
