DENVER – The University of Denver men's tennis team is ranked No. 59 in the final national ITA Computerized Rankings for the 2024-25 season, which were released on Wednesday.
Denver's No. 59 final ranking is the team's highest of the season, up two spots from its previous season's best entering the NCAA National Championship on May 1. DU has now finished each of the last six seasons in the ITA national team rankings.
DU won its second-consecutive Summit League tournament title in 2025, advancing to the NCAA National Championships for the 10
th time. The Pioneers ended their season with a 4-0 loss at No. 10 national seed Arizona in the NCAA first round. Denver went 18-7 on the season including a perfect 13-0 at home and 5-0 in Summit League play.

Daniel Sancho Arbizu wrapped up his collegiate career with a final national singles ranking of No. 45. The Zaragoza, Spain, native spent the entire 2024-25 season in the ITA singles rankings, peaking at a career-best No. 24. He went 30-5 on the year in singles including a 16-match unbeaten streak to finish the year and advanced to the NCAA National Championships in singles for the first time in his career.
Sancho Arbizu is the seventh Denver men's player to hold a national singles ranking at the end of the year and the first since
James Davis was No. 109 at the end of the 2020-21 campaign. His No. 45 final singles ranking is the third highest in program history, behind only
Adam Holmstrom's No. 24 in 2006-07 and No. 37 in 2007-08.
The ITA Division I Men's Collegiate Tennis Rankings recognize the top 75 teams (out of 243), 125 singles players and 60 doubles teams at the NCAA Division I level.
Denver will await final ITA regional rankings, which will be released in early June.
