Denver Hosts Oral Roberts Wednesday Night

The Pioneers open a three-game homestand in their lone game of week three of the Summit League slate

DENVER – The University of Denver men's basketball program will open up a three-game homestand on Wednesday night when the Pioneers welcome Oral Roberts to Hamilton Gymnasium. The 7 p.m. MT tip will be broadcast on Altitude 2 and the Summit League Network.
 
SERIES HISTORY:
Oral Roberts leads a series that dates back to 1978-79 by a count of 14-12, including 13-12 in Denver's Modern DI Era. The Pioneers swept the Golden Eagles a year ago for the first time since the 2017-18 campaign. Prior to last season, Oral Roberts won the previous eight between the two programs. The Pioneers are 8-5 vs. ORU in the Mile High City. MODERN DI HISTORY
 
LAST TIME OUT:
Gabe Oldham posted a 24-point double-double, but it wasn't enough as South Dakota pulled away late in an 82-72 win over the Pioneers on Saturday afternoon in Vermillion.
 
DEFENDING THE HOME FLOOR
Since turning Division I in 1998-99, the Pioneers are 55-39 in Hamilton Gymnasium.
Denver has played in Hamilton full-time since the 2020-21 campaign.
2023-24 marked the first double-digit win season in Hamilton (10-4).
Denver finished 8-6 at home in 2024-25 season.
1,456 came to Denver's home opener against UTSA on November 15, the largest Denver crowd since the 2021-22 home opener (1,607).
 
HOT-SHOOTING PIOS
Denver is currently ranked 62nd in the country and second in the Summit League in effective field-goal percentage, entering the game at 55.3%.
The Pioneers are also 22nd in the country and first in the league in free-throw percentage (77.3) and 29th in the country and first in the Summit League in three-point percentage (37.4).
Denver leads the league and is 68th in the country in scoring offense at 83.6 points per game.
