DENVER – Five triathletes from the University of Denver have been named Scholar All-Americans for the 2025 season.
Junior
Maira Carreau was named a First-Team Scholar All-American by the College Triathlon Coaches Association for the third straight season after producing a grade-point average of 3.5 or higher and finishing in the top 20 at the Collegiate National Championships on Nov. 8 in Tempe, Arizona. Carreau came in fourth at nationals to also earn First Team All-American athletic honors for the third consecutive campaign.
Senior
Elizabeth Harita (41st) and freshmen
Jenna Topott (57th),
Mia Stanley-Hunt (59th) and
Lucrezia Gowdy (61st) were recognized as Scholar All-American Honorable Mentions for also producing a 3.5 GPA but placing outside of the top 20 at the collegiate nationals.
As a team, the Pioneers finished with 3.62 combined GPA during the fall quarter and was named a 2025 CTCA Scholar All-American Team (3.2 team GPA or higher).
Denver finished ninth overall and seventh among Division-I squads at last year's National Championships to conclude the fall regular season. The Pioneers will have several spring races in the coming weeks to conclude their competition season of 2025-26.
