Rebecca Nolan Joining Denver Triathlon

Division-II All-American set to transfer to the Pioneers

DENVER University of Denver triathlon announced today that Rebecca Nolan is set to join the Pioneers program for the fall 2026 season.

Nolan comes to Denver next seasons as a junior transfer after spending the previous two years with Wingate University, where she earned All-American honors and helped the Bulldogs program to a 2025 Eastern Regional Championship and was a member of its 2024 Division-II National Championship squad.

"The team at Denver really stood out to me," Nolan said. "I saw their team vibe from an outside perspective at nationals last year, and I knew I wanted to be part of their team."

Born in Cape Town, South Africa, Nolan has posted three top-10 finishes in eight career collegiate races. She earned up her first career All-American honor this past fall, as she was named to the second team after placing eighth among D-II athletes and 44th overall at the 2025 Collegiate National Championships in Tempe, Arizona, on Nov. 8.

Nolan finished on the podium twice during the 2025 season, which included coming in third in Division-II and 15th overall at the Eastern Regional Championships on Oct. 25. She helped the squad to a regional title for the race in Troutman, North Carolina, and also earned personal accolades by being named to the All-Region Team. Nolan started the season by placing third in the Bulldog Super Sprint Kickoff on Aug. 31 before coming in 15th in the Lake Davidson Collegiate Cup on Sept. 14.

She took part in four races as a freshman in 2024 and closed the campaign with a fourth and sixth-place result in the spring at the Clermont Challenge NCAA Super Sprint races on March 1-2, 2025, in Clermont, Florida. She made her collegiate debut by placing 29th in the Bulldog Super Sprint Kickoff on Sept. 1, 2024 and finished 19th two weeks later at the Davidson Collegiate Cup on Sept. 15, 2024.

Recognized as a 2025 CTCA D-II Scholar All-American, Nolan was named to Wingate's Dean's List in spring and fall 2025 and the President's academic list in fall 2024. She plans on majoring in kinesiology and sports science at DU.

Nolan and her family moved to the Austin, Texas, area in 2022, and she graduated from Drippings Springs High School in 2024. She previously raced for the Alpha Multisport team in Braunfels, Texas.
