NEW YORK -- University of Denver women's lacrosse junior attacker
Olivia Ripple has been named BIG EAST Attacker of the Week, the conference announced on Monday.
Ripple recorded eight goals in the first two games of the regular season, scoring five in the 15-4 season-opening win at USC and three in the 14-7 victory at Arizona State. The junior added three draw control wins against the Trojans and two ground balls and two caused turnovers against the Sun Devils.
The award is the third BIG EAST weekly award of her career and the second BIG EAST Attacker of the Week nod.
UP NEXT: The Pioneers will face Towson on February 19 at 12 p.m. MT in their home opener at Peter Barton Lacrosse Stadium.
