DENVER – The University of Denver women's tennis team (16-8, 6-0 Summit) is ranked No. 69 the final ITA Computerized Rankings for the 2025-26 season that were released on Wednesday.
This marks the ninth time in the last 11 seasons that Denver has ended a year ranked inside the final ITA team national rankings. Denver spent 11 total weeks in the ITA team rankings during the 2025-26 season including a streak of nine consecutive rankings including those released on Wednesday.
Denver won its 12
th consecutive Summit League championship on its way to its 15
th overall team appearance in the NCAA Division I Championship. DU's season ended in the first round with a loss at No. 16-seeded Arizona State, 0-4.
In total, Denver faced six teams that join it in the final ITA team rankings. Denver earned wins over No. 33 Arizona and No. 75 Colorado. Five of DU's eight losses came against fellow teams in the final rankings: twice against No. 17 Arizona State, No. 39 BYU, No. 42 Utah and No. 72 Oregon.
The ITA Division I Women's Collegiate Tennis Rankings recognize the top 75 teams (out of 313), as well as the top 125 singles players and top 60 doubles teams at the NCAA Division I level.
The University of Denver women's tennis team enters the offseason as it prepares to join the West Coast Conference, effective July 1. DU leaves the Summit League undefeated in league matches (71-0) and having won the league tournament title every year that it was held.
