Denver Women’s Soccer Alum Isabella Chidiac Signs with Western Sydney Wanderers

Former DU midfielder joins first professional club in hometown of Sydney, Australia
DENVER – Former University of Denver women's soccer midfielder Isabella Chidiac has signed a professional contract with Western Sydney Wanderers FC, the Australian football club announced on Friday.
Chidiac, a Sydney native, played in Denver's midfield from 2022-25, totaling 47 matches played and making starts in 20 – including all 18 of her senior season. In that breakout 2025 campaign, she led the DU roster in assists (9) and points (11), and she finished the regular season tied for No. 17 nationally in assists. Her services on corner kicks led to six of Denver's 23 total goals on the season, and four of her assists were on game-winning goals. She also registered her first collegiate goal in a league road match at Kansas City on October 2.
At the end of her final NCAA season in 2025, she picked up United Soccer Coaches All-West Region Second Team honors and was named to the All-Summit League First Team.
After graduating with her bachelor's degree in molecular biology in June, 2026, Chidiac returned to her home country of Australia where she will now play for her hometown club Western Sydney Wanderers. The squad will compete in the Ninja A-League this upcoming season.
The University of Denver women's soccer team is coming up on its non-conference finale, scheduled for Thursday, September 17, at 7 p.m. MT against Air Force before beginning its inaugural West Coast Conference schedule on Saturday, September 26, against Saint Mary's.
