New Mexico Defeats Denver, 4-3

The University of Denver women's tennis team fell to the University of New Mexico, 4-3, this evening at the Lobo Tennis Club. New Mexico was victorious at two doubles and three singles spots to earn the win.

Yanick Dullens (So., Susteren, Netherlands), Suzana Maksovic (Fr., Helsingborg, Sweden) and Barb Kourim (So., Dallas, Texas) all earned singles wins for Denver, which fell to 3-4 overall. Dullens needed a 10-8 tiebreaker to defeat Maja Kovacek at No. 1 singles, while Maksovic and Kourim won by identical 6-4, 6-1 scores at No. 2 and No. 4 singles, respectively.

Denver will face Kansas tomorrow in Albuquerque, N.M. The match is scheduled for 1 p.m. at the Lobo Tennis Club.
