CHESTNUT HILL, Mass. - The Boston College Eagles (6-3), and the rain, poured it on the University of Denver (5-5) on Friday evening in Alumni Stadium in Chestnut Hill, Mass. In a heavy downpour, the Pioneers emerged with a 15-2 setback.

BC came on strong in the first half, scoring 11 unanswered goals. Meggie O'Neill had a big evening with four goals and one assist. In total, nine Eagles posted points on the scoreboard.

Junior Patience Baldwin (Baltimore, Md.) and sophomore Lindsay Robinson (Overland Park, Kan.) tallied the Pioneers' lone goals. It was Robinson's first-career goal.

Denver goalkeeper sophomore Steph Schneider (Leesburgh, Va.) registered eight saves. Tara McKennett was perfect in the Boston College net, saving each of the five shots she faced. Michelle Lawson, who recorded three saves of her own, early in the second half, replaced her.

The Pioneers will look to rebound on Sun., April 13 when they battle the University of Vermont on a neutral field. Faceoff is scheduled for 11 a.m. MT.
