BOULDER, Colo. - No. 55 Colorado defeated No. 74 Denver, 6-1, in women's tennis action this afternoon at Millennium Hotel Harvest House in Boulder.
CU improves to 6-3 with the win, while DU falls to 3-7.
The Buffaloes claimed the doubles point and all five of six singles matches to net the win. Emma Isberg (Tyreso, Sweden) posted DU's lone win with a 9-7 decision at No. 5 singles.
DU seniors Ute Schnoy (Altenstadt, Germany) and Julia Bauregger (Klagenfurt, Austria) played well in defeat. Schnoy, ranked No. 81 in the nation, fell in three sets to No. 101 Monica Milewski at No. 1 singles. Bauregger also lost in three sets to No. 94 Melisa Esposito at No. 2 singles.
DU returns to action on Friday, Feb. 26 at UNLV.
