WICHITA, Kansas - Wichita State defeated Denver, 7-0, in women's tennis action today at Sheldon Coleman Tennis Complex. Wichita State improves to 4-6, while DU falls to 3-11.

Wichita State won the doubles point and all six singles matches to claim the win. DU's Sophia Bergner (Schechen, Germany) and Ute Schnoy (Altenstadt, Germany) upset No. 59 Stephanie Dalmacio and Delia Damaschin 8-7(6) at No. 1 doubles.

Sophomore Mikele Smith (Denver) battled in a three-set loss at No. 6 singles and Julia Bauregger (Klagenfurt, Austria) lost a close match at No. 2.

DU returns to action at Boise State on March 19.
