LAS VEGAS - The Denver women's tennis squad dropped a 5-2 decision to Wichita State this afternoon at Fertitta Tennis Complex in rainy Las Vegas.

Denver falls to 3-5 overall with its second straight loss.

Elena Najera (San Diego, Calif.) and Caroline Schnell (Greenwood Village, Colo.) posted singles wins for Denver's two points today.

Najera beat Raphaela Zotter 4-6, 6-0, 6-4 at No. 2 singles, while Schnell defeated Delia Damaschin 7-6, 6-3 at No. 4 singles.

Denver returns to action at Missouri on Friday, Feb. 25.
