SAN DIEGO, Calif. - The Denver women's tennis team lost 5-2 to No. 62 San Diego State this afternoon at Aztec Tennis Center.

The Aztecs improve to 7-6, while DU falls to 4-9. San Diego State claimed the doubles point and four singles wins to get the dual win.

Sophomore Sophia Bergner (Schechen, Germany) posted a 6-1, 7-5 win over Julia Trunk at No. 1 singles and Caroline Schnell (Greenwood Village, Colo.) won 6-3, 6-4 over Emma Cioffi at No. 5 singles. Gabriella Boboc (Boras, Sweden) made her DU debut in the loss.

DU returns to action at San Diego on Saturday, March 19.
