Oklahoma State Beats DU, 5-2

DENVER - Oklahoma State beat Denver 5-2 in women's tennis action today at windy Stapleton Tennis Pavilion on the DU campus.

Oklahoma State improves to 5-10, while Denver falls to 6-11.

"It was nice to be back at our home courts today," DU head coach Jeremy Wurtzman said. "The playing conditions were difficult because of the wind, and we fought hard but came up a bit short. We look forward to playing another conference match this Sunday against North Texas."

Sophia Bergner (Schechen, Germany) and Emma Isberg (Tyreso, Sweden) posted DU's two wins today.

Bergner beat Nat Shatkovskaya 6-2, 6-1 at No. 1 singles to improve her record to 8-9.

Isberg beat Kanyapat Narattana 6-2, 6-4 at No. 5 singles for her eighth win.

Denver hosts North Texas on Sunday, April 3. First serve is set for 11 a.m. at Stapleton Tennis Pavilion.
