DENVER - The University of Denver's women's fell 6-1 to the No. 21 Texas Tech in Lubbock, Texas on Saturday.
Pioneer senior Sophia Bergner (Schechen, Germany) defeated Texas Tech's Samantha Adams 7-5, 6-2. Mandy van den Eerenbeemt (Best, Netherlands) took Elizabeth Ullathorne to three sets but fell 6-4, 5-7, 6-2.
The Pioneers could not to find a rhythm, losing all three doubles matches and five of six singles flights.
Denver will look to rebound when they take on Louisiana Lafayette Friday, Jan. 25.
